Dentists Profiles
Rob Muirhead
Rob Muirhead BChD LDS RCS qualified from Leeds dental school in 1990 and owns a successful private practice in Shipley, West Yorkshire.
His practice bought a Cerec 1 machine back in 1993. Rob began using it in 1994 and never looked back. He has been a regular user ever since of the Cerecs 1,2,3 and now Bluecam and has placed over 5,000 cerec restorations making him one of the most experienced Cerec dentists in the UK.
He has remained at the forefront of Cerec technology by attending courses in the UK and abroad and became a qualified ISCD trainer in 2007 after attending their course in Dubai. Sirona UK take advantage of his expertise by employing him to train their new users in the North of England and Scotland. He has also been providing advanced courses since 2007.
His particular interests are the larger cosmetic cases as well as occlusal rebuilds utilising Cerec and has had articles on such cases in "Dentistry magazine" over the years. He is in close communication with a lab to which he emails optical impressions utilising the "Cerec Connect" system in order to produce all ceramic bridges.
Every patient's case is different and each dentist may be interested in different aspects of the various uses of Cerec. So my concept is to post up on the internet (see Ceramic Reconstructions), the various cases I have on the go so that any potential delegate can view them. They can then decide which particular case interests them and whether they would like to attend the course and watch the case being carried out.
